Little Cottonwood Canyon is one of Utah’s most breathtaking landscapes, and it became the perfect location for a dreamy stylized picnic photoshoot we brought to life as a creative team. The canyon’s granite peaks, lush forest floor, wild flowers, and soft golden light created a magical setting for the concept we wanted to capture — something warm, romantic, intimate, and beautifully elevated.

This shoot included the talents of Sweet Confidence Photography, Sweet Pea Celebrations, Savvy Boudoir, Leeann Fulton Boudoir and our stunning model Nala, each bringing a unique touch to the final vision.

Bringing the Concept to Life Together

This session was a true collaboration. Our goal was to mix the raw beauty of Utah’s mountains with a luxurious, cozy atmosphere inspired by elegant outdoor picnics. Sweet Pea Celebrations crafted a breathtaking luxury picnic setup, complete with layered textures, warm tones, florals, and plush seating that instantly transformed the natural space into something extraordinary.

As one of the photographers, I (Jeslie) focused on capturing the connection, emotion, and intentional styling that made this shoot feel so enchanting. Nala brought grace, expression, and effortless presence, making the entire session feel like a romantic editorial story unfolding in the canyon.

Why Little Cottonwood Canyon Was the Perfect Location

The canyon is one of our favorite places to create in. Its alpine scenery, textured rocks, and glowing natural light make it ideal for both styled shoots and intimate portrait sessions. It offered the perfect balance of rugged Utah beauty and peaceful atmosphere needed to bring this picnic concept to life.

Nala’s confidence and expressive energy blended effortlessly with the landscape and the setup, giving us moments that felt natural, emotional, and beautifully cinematic.
